I first started Journaling Sisters a few years back in NYC because I saw me and my girlfriends around me running around like crazy. We were just keeping our heads above water and only being reactive to the next thing, and not being proactive about what we wanted. I wanted to create a quiet reflective space to help us all-- me included -- to slow down.
I've also been noticing it's been extra hard for me to focus. It may be post-holidays, getting back into work routine, family stress, any all of the above. And the thought of the new year and the pressure it brings --- new resolutions, new habits, new commitments --- and we're somehow supposed to take it all in at once, and be better people by February 2020 ideally!
I don't know about you, but along with the usual pressures I already put on myself, it can be kind of a lot. To say the least.
I invite you today or this week to take some quiet time --- I love to escape to a cafe with my big headphones myself -- and think about these two words:
INTENTION
COMMITMENT
What do they mean to you? What do you feel like you intended or committed to last year? What are 3 things you would like to intend and commit to? Big or small.
Check out my upcoming journaling gatherings to journal in a warm safe space with other women!
